The Infertility Community Platform for People of Color.

Education. Community. Support.

Oshun Griot helps people navigating infertility and family building find trusted information, culturally responsive care, meaningful connection, and support throughout their journeys.

THE PLATFORM

Introducing Oshun Match

Through Oshun Match, members can connect with peers, discover culturally responsive providers, access trusted resources, and find support throughout their fertility journeys. We're building Oshun Match alongside patients, providers, and community partners to help extend care beyond the clinic and ensure that no one has to navigate infertility alone.

THE COMMUNITY

Stories That Make the Invisible Visible

Through Fertility Noir, Infertile Ground, Season of Survival, live events, our book club, infertility awareness initiatives, and community programming, Oshun Griot amplifies voices too often left out of fertility conversations and helps people feel seen, informed, and connected.

THE HEALING COLLECTION

Comfort, Care, and Connection

From curated support boxes and affirmation cards to candles, gifts, and everyday reminders that you're not alone, the Healing Collection was created to support people navigating infertility, pregnancy loss, IVF, and family building.

Whether you're caring for yourself or showing up for someone you love, these products are designed to bring comfort, encouragement, and connection throughout the journey.

AS SEEN IN….

WHO WE ARE

Why We're Called Oshun Griot

Our name honors two sacred traditions: Oshun, the Yoruba orisha of fertility, love, and sweet waters, and the griot, the West African storyteller and keeper of communal memory. Together, they reflect our mission: to protect our stories, reclaim our voices, and make room for healing.

What We Believe

Our stories are sacred. Softness is strength. Care that doesn't see us is not care at all.

Oshun Griot was founded by Reniqua Allen-Lamphere, PhD, a journalist, documentary filmmaker, and author, after four rounds of IVF and years of navigating an infertility system that wasn't built for her. Her book, Fertility Noir, about Black families and infertility, will be released by Penguin Random House in 2028. Her film, Infertile Ground, about the climate crisis and fertility, has been funded by Black Public Media, The Redford Center, and the Economic Hardship Reporting Project and is in development for public television.

She looked for care that reflected her reality. She couldn't find it. So she built it.

What People are Saying…

“Oshun Griot makes me feel seen. I love having access to information about various aspects of the fertility journey that is centered around my experience as a woman of color. Functional resources, like the step-by-step guides and doctor directory, provide a roadmap for this journey and the mental health and culturally relevant content bring me relief and solace, helping me to process and understand my feelings throughout this experience.”
