Why Oshun Griot Exists

Oshun Griot is the first infertility wellness app for people of color.

For too long, it's been assumed that infertility isn't our issue, something only rich White women go through. But the truth is, people of color experience infertility at nearly twice the rate of White women, yet we're treated less often, and later, sometimes when it's already too late.

Why don't we get treated? Because we don't always have access to the right information. Because of stigma. Because we've been told by society, by medicine, even by our own communities that we're hyperfertile. So we wait. We suffer in silence. We pray. We don't know where to turn.

Sometimes, what we need isn't complicated: honest education, a thoughtful doctor, a space to exhale, someone who gets it.

That's why we created Oshun Griot.
